4/23/2024 0 Comments Logitech g29 gaming software pc![]() ![]() Logitech already admitted that G-software has an issue with later builds of Win 10, and an update was being worked on, with no comment on its release date. Logitech took all my system info at the beginning of the week, but got back to Friday saying they now had all the info they needed, and would look into it, kind of slow service. I also used to use Logitech Steering Wheel SDK file name(LogitechSteeringWheelSDK_8.75.30), this also would free up the wheel, but it also quit working for me. ![]() I would left G-Hub installed, but apparently it did not get along with Win 10 either, as it kept freezing, and or crashing, so I had to go back to G-software. ![]() I don't think the two are compatible, so if you install G-Hub, uninstall G-software 1st. G-Hub did solve my dead left paddle issue, but my wheel still remained too stiff. You can also try G-Hub, its newer software, has some settings that G-software doesn't have, and some have better luck with it. So far I can't see any benefits of Giant's new partnership with Logitech, other than they removed the list of all approved wheels for FS, and just left Logitech's. Sent a tech support email to Giant, its been over a week, and not heard anything from them. My wheel would be tight, but as soon as the game launched it loosened up, but that also went out the window, and quit working. I had this same problem of over tight wheel when 19 released, but either the 1st or 2nd 19 patch resolved this issue. If you have some left drift with the wheel centered, it is fixed by turning the wheel all the left and right in game. Just create a new profile, point to the games exe, and in the profile's drop-down window, check Set as Default, and Set as Persistent. This works for some people, it used to work for me, and think one of my last Win 10 updates created my problem. And why some would design a board where the chip-set can :not" be updated with firmware was not a bright move on Logitech's part. In my opinion Logitech has slipped in the PC market, and concentrated on only the consoles. Not sure what the partnership is for, if new controller hardware is be developed or what.īut I sure would like to find a wheel that has "working" software. Giant and Logitech developed some new partner relationship geared towards FS19, but I have no idea what or if they are doing anything seeming the first quarter of 2019 is over and we've heard nothing. But as soon as G-software is installed, then the left paddle is gone from windows calibration again. I have no doubt that the micro switch is good, If I uninstall G-software, disconnect the power from the wheel, and the USB cable, restart my system, open calibration in Windows, then the Left Paddle Shifter works and lights up button # 6 I think. Software is so glitchy that in Windows calibration the left paddle shifter is not found, and does not function, yet when you open test profile in G-software, sometimes it will work there. ![]() Normally when it becomes hard to turn, I just create a new profile, and when the game launches the wheel is easy to turn, now that trick no longer works.ĥ. All I have to is click on one tab, and its froze, so I got rid of it and went back to G-software, at least its stable, and stays running.Ĥ. I uninstalled G-software, and installed G-Hub, which better designed software with more options, but its so buggy, it constantly freeze's and crashes. Logitech admitted that the G-software has issue with Win 10, but no idea when updated software will be release.ģ. Sometimes it will loose up, but then I only have a 180 degree's of turn with G-software showing it set to 900 degrees.Ģ. I've discoed the power several times, and reconnected the USB cable. Last week out no where, the wheel is super stiff again, way to hard to turn.ġ. I've had a couple of Win 10 updates (could be the culprit). I've down nothing new to my system, no new apps, software, video driver is the only thing that has been updated. I worked out a few bugs, and after the patch from Giant the G29 was good. Here we are almost (4) months down the road, and my G29 is right back to way when 19 launched. ![]()
